Matt Collette grew up playing a variety of sports and activities as a kid at a Boys & Girls Club. In high school he played football, varsity wrestling and started the high schools 1st Boys Volleyball team. After high school Matt attended and graduated from Springfield College majoring in Physical Education. His passion has always been about helping people. Matt has 7 years’ experience teaching elementary school Physical Education, working in 5 different school districts across Southern California. Matt trained classroom teachers to teach Physical Education as a way to get Physical Education back in Elementary schools by giving them the skills necessary to teach Physical Education with their classes. Over the past 3 years Matt has voluntarily coached classroom teachers, students and friends in the foundations of CrossFit. He has been involved with weight training since he was 14 years old primarily focusing on getting big and focusing on one muscle part a day. After exercising the same way for 15 years he felt he was starting not to enjoy his workouts.  In 2010 Matt was looking for a change and decided to participate in CrossFit. Matt has seen great strength gains, become a better mover and looks forward to his daily WODs.
